Saturday the 17th started off beautifully. Clear skies cool but not cold, just right for a hike.
I started up Rattlesnake at 9am, surprised by how many cars were there already. Not many people on the trail going up, so I figured there must be lots up top. I wasn’t wrong. The first ledge was packed with what appeared to be Koreans. Either one large group of 50+ or several small groups totalling that. Didn’t bother trying to wind my way thru them, just turned around and kept going up to 3rd ledge. One other non-korean up there, but extremely windy. Warm though. After about 5 minutes a couple koreans arrived, then a couple more. Pretty soon it was about 15 and they are not quiet. So it was time to head down.
Got home about 11 and a brief rest then outside to do the car work, oil change and tire rotations. The wind picked up throughout the day but never seemed threatening.
