A nice day for a wedding

I took the day off Friday Oct 10 to come up to Camano with Wendy to prepare for Carolyns wedding on Saturday. There really wasn’t anything for me to prepare for, or Wendy for that matter. I mowed mom’s lawn and did a couple indoor chores on request. The ladies all went grocery shopping. We all went out to dinner with Greg(the groom) and his family at Anthony’s Woodfire Grill on the Everett waterfront. A great meal.

Just before we left for dinner, Wendy realized “we” had forgotten my suit. Which meant I had to drive home to get it. After dinner was over, they rode back to Moms with Greg and Carolyn, and I went home for the night. I put my suit in the car before I went to bed, then got up about 6:30 and headed back up to Camano about 7:45.

We “suited up” about 10:45 and left for the chapel in Mt.Vernon at 11am. The wedding was small and informal, and took place at 1pm. Wendy and Carolyn’s cousin Julie, a minister from Port Angeles, presided over the ceremony. It was short and sweet. It was family and friends only, about the size of our wedding nearly 20 years ago, with the biggest difference NO SNOW! A small reception followed and all who came had a good time and some cake and punch or coffee. I took some random photos. After some tidying up and getting things together, we got out of there about 3pm and went home to change.

About 4:15, Mom, Wendy, & I went north again to the Conway pub for dinner. Good beer and a dozen pan fried oysters made my day. Along with some bread and sharing moms fries she got with her 6 oysters. We got back home again about 6:30pm.

I brought the laptop with me from work, and brought my wireless hub from home so I can connect to Mom’s DSL here. That gives me time to surf and write this blog.
