Aiken is a nice safe city

We spent the day today doing some grocery shopping and sorting a few things. David came home from work at noon, and we picked up Doris, the realtor/agent, and spent the afternoon looking about about 7-8 different houses. Some were better than others, of course, but the last one is what peaks their interest. They’ll be sleeping on it tonight, and may make a decision as early as tomorrow. Doris said that this is such a safe place to live, that many people go for walks in the park or around neigborhoods late into the evening or after dark.

We went to dinner about 7pm at Carolina Barbeque, a small family run buffet a few minutes out of town. You serve yourself in a buffet line on foam and plastic tableware, pay for your plate($7.00 for all you can eat) then find a seat at one of the family style tables, picnic or regular. The only things they serve are special: Pulled pork, Beans, Corn, Rice, deepfried ocra, mac ‘n cheese, and hushpuppies. David and I both had seconds and it was all wonderful. I really liked the ocra! And the hushpuppies. Heck, ALL OF IT!

On the way home, Karen got word that the moving van will NOT be here now until Monday. So David will likely work all of Friday. K & I will probably wash her car, and do a few other things.

While writing this post, I also figured out how to add some photos to the other previous posts made enroute. Scroll down to view some of them.
